Adam Apatoff

Adam S. Apatoff brings 25+ years’ experience advising companies on corporate and commercial matters, in the areas of life sciences, healthcare and health information technology.  The Washington Business Journal named him as one of the DC area’s top attorneys for Technology Transactions four times.

Adam joined Centauri following the acquisition of Secure Exchange Solutions (SES) where he was part of the founding team as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for all legal and compliance matters including corporate governance, IP licensing, contracting, data privacy and security, and industry-specific accreditations and certifications.  He is currently Director Emeritus of DirectTrust, the healthcare industry’s self-regulatory and standards organization for secure interoperable health information exchange using the Direct Protocol. He previously served two terms as Vice Chair with a total of six years on the Board of Directors.

Prior to SES, Adam was in private practice in the Washington, D.C. area and was General Counsel of a venture-backed molecular diagnostics company.

Adam attended The George Washington University for his MBA and received his JD from the Delaware Law School of Widener University.  He earned his BBA in Finance and Political Science from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida.
